I live on the 32nd floor of the Wynn, my mom is a stripper, before my day starts I gamble at LEAST $300 and I go to Hakassan every other night.
Unfortunately, I don’t live by Tiesto and I have never met Celine Dione.
My dad is not a professional poker player and my mom is most definitely not a stripper.
I get asked all the time what life is like here.
Vegas locals experience this all the time. When I went away for college in Arizona, I was not expecting the reaction I got when I told people I was from Las Vegas.
People yell, “VEGAAAAAS” when I say I’m from here. I love it. It’s funny. Proud of my city.
The first thing one girl asked me when I was rushing a sorority, “OMG, do people really live on the strip?” Yes, ma’am they do. I know maybe one person that lives on the strip, but it’s not common.
Whenever I travel I get the same reaction.
Living in Las Vegas is probably not what you have pictures in your head.
This city is mentioned in most movies, TV shows, books, game shows…etc. Everyone only talks about the strip so it’s what people know. There is so much to do here and my day does NOT involve gambling and partying – although, sometimes I wish it does. Ha.
I feel blessed to call Las Vegas home and I want to share it with you – there is more to life here than just the strip.
Let’s adventure into this fun city together. I have so many posts about Las Vegas.
What city are you from?
