If you’re looking to achieve a curly hairstyle with NO HEAT overnight, this is the hairstyle for you.
Ahh, the infamous heatless curls.
Honestly, this brings me back to middle school days when my parents took my curling iron and straightener away from me because I was using too much heat on my hair. I was really upset at the time, but I thank them now for teaching me the importance of healthy hair.
Overnight Heatless Curls
Remember those self grip hair rollers everyone was using that left them looking like a mix between Shirley Temple and a poodle. Yikes.
I am always up for trying something new and love experimenting with my hair. If I can find a hairstyle that I love that does not use any heat, I am one happy gal.
That’s why I had to try the famous Tik-Tok Heatless curls – @sivan_g
If anyone knows who to credit this to, let me know. I have been searching the world wide web over here only to find that everyone throws out a bunch of different names.
Just know, I am not taking credit for this look.
I’m just a Las Vegas gal sharing fun things I find that might be helpful to you – like curling your hair with no heat. Woohoo.
How To Achieve Easy Heatless Curls
Girl, this is the easiest thing to do. It’s fast, heatless (duh), and can be done anytime during the day. I recommend doing this right before bed with damp hair, but this can also be done during the day.
If you choose the latter, just be sure to dampen your hair a bit so that the curls really hold the style once everything has dried.
+Grab all the tools you need. I can’t stand when I am in the middle of doing my hair and cannot find my hair tie.
*Frantically searches for a hair tie with one hand because the other is holding half-done hair*
What you’ll need:
Bath Robe Tie
Curl Spray (I like this one by OGX)
Hair Ties
+ Part your hair – I recommend doing your usual part, but feel free to play around with this.
+ Section your hair into two parts. I find it easiest to tie up the side that you will not be using with one of the alligator clips or a hair tie.
+ Spray your hair with your curl spray for extra dampness – remember to do this on damp hair. The spray adds extra texture to your already damp hair.
+ Brush out the hair to remove any tangles.
+ Lay the bathrobe tie horizontally on the top of your head towards your forehead.
+ On the side with the hair down, wrap the hair around the tie beginning with a small section of hair. Wrap the hair around the tie moving the hair towards the back and under the tie. As you go, pick up some more hair.
+ Repeat this method until you have successfully wrapped all the hair around the tie on that one section of your head.
Once you’ve successfully wrapped your hair, tie the bottom (along with the bathrobe tie) with a hair tie. You can either leave it down or twist it into a bun.
+ Repeat on the other side.
Voila! It’s that easy. In the morning, remove the hair ties and carefully unravel the curls.
Gently shake out the curls for a softer, more natural look.
Here is a very short video of my hair the day after. Please enjoy my killer dances moves 🙂
