It is no surprise that Las Vegas is a girls’ trip destination any time of the year.
Whether it’s summer, fall, winter, or spring, you and your gal pals will find plenty to do in Sin City.
If you’re in the market for a weekend with your best girlfriends in Las Vegas (specifically, a stay on the iconic Las Vegas Strip), you have come to the right place.
To jump-start your Las Vegas girls’ trip planning, here are some ideas for you:
Where to stay
It’s no surprise that there are plenty of places for you and your girlfriends to stay. Whether you choose to stay on the strip or downtown, there are enough hotels in Vegas to make you scratch your head and contemplate.
For the ultimate luxury stay, the Venetian and Palazzo comfortably fit between 4 (maybe) 5 people in a room. A couple of other great luxury options are the Wynn and Encore. The Wynn Hotel holds more Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world, according to their website. I’m happy to report that they are, indeed, a luxurious hotel to stay in.
If you’re not looking to bounce around the strip a lot, or interested in fine dining, nightclubs, and day clubs, this is your hotel.
The Cosmopolitan is another great option as they are centrally located on the strip with incredible room views.
However, there are plenty of budget-friendly hotels to look into.
Where to eat
How long do you have?
There is an abundance of restaurants in Las Vegas. Most have been featured in websites such as Delish, Trip Advisor, Vegas Eater, and Thrillist to name a few. There are a few places you must try before leaving Vegas. These places include:
Buddy V’s Ristorante – This is just one of my Italian food recommendations. I wrote an entire blog post about Italian food in Las Vegas which you can check out here.
Chica – This place is perfect for large groups and serve up fantastic Latin cuisine. My Las Vegas Cocktail Book features one of their specialty cocktails. Grab a copy to make Chica cocktails at home.
Beauty & Essex – This hidden gem is located in the Cosmopolitan behind a pawn shop storefront. Their restaurant design included sharing plates making it a great dinner location for large groups. Chef, Chris Santos has appeared as a guest chef on many of the cooking shows. I don’t know about you, but this credibility makes me want to taste all the dishes – and I have. They’re incredible for your girls trip.
Rose Rabbit Lie – This is another Cosmopolitan favorite and for a girl’s night out, it’s a lot of fun. Prepare for live music and entertaining performances as you sip on cocktails and tasty dishes. As with the recommendations listed above, call ahead to make a reservation.
Hash House A Go Go – After a night out and a mild hangover (or intense one.. Idk how many drinks you’ve had, girl) you’re probably looking for some carbs and large mimosas. Am I right? Hash House A Go Go, located at the Linq, serves up large portions of your favorite American cuisine.
Places to take pictures in Vegas
Girlfriend, I know. You need that Instagram shot. You didn’t think I would bring you here and not recommend where to take a picture now, did you?
Top Las Vegas Instagram spots:
- Las Vegas Sign – This is an iconic spot for pictures in Vegas.
- Venetian Canal
- Eiffel Tower *One of the best Instagram spots is from the Bellagio Fountain. You can kill two birds with one stone by heading closer to the Bellagio hotel to get a view of the fountain and the Eiffel Tower.
- The Linq High Roller and Influence Pool at the Linq
- Excalibur (by the valet near Dick’s Last Resort restaurant)
- Trevi Fountains at Caesars
- Circus Circus Adventurdome Entrance
- Caesars Palace (on the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd)
- New York New York (take the photo from the front of the Tropicana Hotel near Las Vegas Blvd)
Entertainment
Stroll the strip – there is nothing better than taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. I don’t know about that last one, but the lights on the strip are beautiful and the Bellagio Fountain has beautiful music to go along with the water show. If you’re visiting Vegas, definitely check out the Bellagio Fountain.
See a show – There are so many, but if you’re visiting on a girl’s trip then a must-see is Magic Mike. If you’re looking to get pulled on stage, wear pants!
Nightclub – I’m going to throw in day clubs here as well because they are just as fun. My favorites include XS, Marquee, Tao, and the Encore Beach Club. I have seen incredible performers at all three.
Have fun on your girls trip, & stay safe.
