How to pack all your Las Vegas Outfits in a Carry On Bag

To successfully pack your best Las Vegas outfits you have to plan

Have a list of everything you’d like to do on your trip.

Even if you haven’t quite figured out your itinerary, have a list of the things you’d like to do to give you a better idea.

For example:

  • Which Hotel you’re staying in
  • Will you be going out more during the day or night?
  • Cocktail hour or club?
  • Lots of walking?
  • Will it be hot or on the cooler side?
  • Pool party or lounging by the hotel pool (there’s a difference)?

Deciding on the activities will make packing your Vegas Outfits a whole lot easier.

It’s important to note that Las Vegas is a giant melting pot of people. The outfits vary and so do the people.

*Please take this guide as a mere suggestion of what to pack – add your style and have fun.

If you plan on going to the club, expect to see a lot of sequins.

Wear what you feel the best in to get your groove on (that was so cheesy, yikes).

Please keep in mind that day clubs change depending on the time of year. Check on the specific club you’re interested in before traveling to see if they are open. In the summer months, they are open, but at the end of Fall early Spring, they are typically closed.

Here’s an example of a very general 3-day itinerary that hopefully gives you an idea of what to pack in your carry-on.

(If you’re interested in what to do in Las Vegas, I would check out my post on 8 Must-See Las Vegas Attractions

Day 1: Arrive in Las Vegas – Woohoo.
  • Visit the Las Vegas Sign for that cute Instagram shot.
  • Grab something to eat (there is no shortage of food in Vegas)
  • Don’t forget a drink – let’s get the party started.
  • Sightsee (hop on the high roller for a 360 view of Las Vegas)
  • Remember to gamble – win that money, honey!
  • Stop by a bakery and grab some goodies for the room (midnight snacks are a must)
  • Check into your room
  • Get ready for a night out (sequins, heels, hair, makeup)
  • Nightclub (suggestions below for Vegas outfits can work for any nightclub)

What to pack for day 1:

Assuming you’ve just arrived from the airport or road trip to Vegas…

What will free up the most space in your carry-on is wearing your Day 1 outfit. Opt for something comfy casual. I’ve added jeans or shorts with a cute top, plus some sneakers and a cross body bag. I prefer packing 1-2 purses so that I can switch between day and night. Remember those sunglasses, hats if you like, skincare, and makeup.

Included in this day is a nightclub outfit so pack your favorite party dress, heels, and whatever essentials you might need for the evening. Throw in the pajamas you will be wearing all weekend and there you have it.

Day 1 is done.

Day 2: Pool Day
  • (Don’t get me started on those hangovers. This morning we are replenishing those electrolytes).
  • Let’s start with food – the hotels have so many options.
  • Now it’s time to get ready for a day club – expect to see a lot of people, alcohol, and dancing.
  • Back to the room to change and relax
  • Dinner
  • Show (Cirque Du Soleil shows are always fun, or Magic Mike – depending on your party 😉 )

Local Tip: If you plan on traveling to Las Vegas during the summer months, expect the weather to be VERY hot. Please take that into consideration when packing and drink a LOT of water.

What to pack for Day 2:

For the day club, include in your carry-on bag a swimsuit or two, coverup, and sandal heels/wedges. After the day club, it will be time to relax and change into something for dinner and a show.

Jeans, bodysuit or cute blouse, and heels from night one will make for the cutest Vegas outfit. Remember that purse from night 1 and any extra essentials you might need for the evening.

Day 2 is done.

Day 3: Sightseeing
  • Sleep in you party animal
  • Grab some brunch (who doesn’t love brunch?)
  • Explore the Las Vegas Strip – You must see the Bellagio Fountains
  • Lots of walking
  • Dinner to end the weekend

What to pack for Day 3:

Today is all about brunching and exploring. By the time Day 3 rolls around I like to wear something super casual. Since Las Vegas is extremely hot in the summer months, I’ve included a white tank (goes with everything), jean shorts, my sneakers, and a crossbody bag from Day 1.

Remember to include any essentials you might need for this day like sunscreen and a hat.

There you have it.

Day 3 is done.

Las Vegas is one of the best cities in the world to adventure.

There is so much to do on and off the strip. If you plan on staying longer, it’s recommended to adventure off the strip.

You’ll be surprised to find incredible mountains with hiking trails and views of the beautiful city.

I hope you found this packing list helpful.
