What is a baguette?
According to spoon university, “the word baguette comes from the Italian word “bacchetta” which translates to baton.” If you notice the shape of a baguette, it’s very similar to what a baton looks like.
They have a crispy outer layer with a chewy center.
Baguettes are perfect for jam and butter, sandwiches, or bruschetta. They are very symbolic of French culture.
The Cafe
This place is a hidden gem on the Southwest side of town. It’s located off the 215 on Sunset and Durango.
The Baguette Cafe is a French Bistro that serves fresh bread just like the one I had in Paris.

The owner, Olivier, welcomes everyone like an old friend and always makes sure his customers are happy.
The smell of fresh bread, as you walk in, is like no other.
Don’t even get me started on their selection of pastries and coffee.
The Pear Tart was delish delosh!!
In other words, order the Pear Tart.
Above all, this Cafe has everything from quiches, croissants, and sandwiches, to vegan and vegetarian options. Most importantly, they have a large selection of cakes.
